The Demand Analyst is responsible for developing accurate, data‑driven demand forecasts that support aftermarket parts, consumables, specialty surface coatings, and commercial/industrial machines across a global network. This role is essential in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory positions, and supporting customer service and operational performance.
The Analyst will lead monthly forecast review meetings with Account Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and Operations. They will own the development of statistical forecasts within SAP IBP and drive continuous improvement strategies that enhance forecast accuracy and support business growth.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure aftermarket parts, consumables, and machines are available to customers by maintaining accurate demand history, statistical forecasts, and safety stock levels for all North American and international stocking locations.
• Manage forecasting for new product introductions, promotions, engineering changes, and product obsolescence to meet customer service and inventory goals.
• Develop monthly statistical forecasts for all North American product groups using SAP IBP.
• Develop statistical forecasts for Japan, Australia, Export, and TNV markets for all North America parts and machines.
• Provide historical and future business forecast support across the global network.
• Facilitate monthly forecast review meetings with Sales, Product Management, Account Managers, and Operations.
• Maintain accurate sales, usage, and demand history at plant and aggregated levels.
• Analyze and adjust historical data as needed to improve forecast quality in coordination with the Forecasting Manager.
• Monitor and report forecast accuracy and bias; conduct exception‑based analysis to identify root causes of variance.
• Recommend improvements to forecasting processes based on demand behavior and market trends.
• Execute and validate SAP IBP processes to generate and transfer forecasts into Demand Management.
• Investigate and resolve forecasting data issues related to new products, promotions, engineering changes, and supersessions.
• Assist with definition, testing, and implementation of forecasting and supply chain system enhancements.
• Collaborate with global supply planning teams to support S&OP processes and long‑term planning.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics.
• 4+ years of professional experience with Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
• 4+ years of experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence stakeholders.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
• Experience working in global or aftermarket environments.
• SAP IBP experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with lifecycle forecasting, replacement parts behavior, and slow‑moving inventory dynamics.
• Experience with data tools such as Power BI or Angles.
• ASCM/APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $78,700 - 118,100
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
