PURPOSE/SCOPE:
Join our shipping & receiving team and use your knowledge to ensure you properly receive incoming material; maintain accurate accountability of receiving, additions and deletions for materials from the record. Prepare product for shipment according to specifications and/or customer requirements. Transport material internally to warehouse and assembly locations.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
- Spend 100% of time on Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse areas supporting all related activities and functions.
Efficiently, accurately, and safely load outbound shipments, unload inbound shipments, move product, and stack/store products or materials using powered-equipment as defined by the process Work Instructions in support of all shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production support functions. - Executes inventory transactions related to receiving and shipping parts, kits & machines.
- Efficiently, accurately, and safely locate and place products in the appropriate storage areas as defined by the process Work Instructions.
- Works toward improved inventory accuracy throughout the facility by accurately processing materials transactions.
- Responds to requests from manufacturing for urgent parts.
- Maintains and improves housekeeping in warehouse and dock storage areas.
- Identifies problems and/or reasons for errors and recommends resolutions.
- Understands delivery orders, purchase orders, and sales orders. Schedules & receives shipments, and documentation.
- Ability to play a key role in continuous improvement events and understands upstream and downstream decisions.
- Maintains equipment in good operating order, follows power industrial equipment guidelines and completed start-of-shift inspection checklist.
- Use appropriate forms/documentation to ensure all product and/or orders are received, transferred, picked, packed, staged, or shipped correctly and accurately as defined by the process Work Instructions.
- Efficiently, accurately, and safely pick, stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label product(s) for Customer Orders using powered-equipment to fulfill customer demands as defined by the process Work Instructions.
- Verify products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies and ensure all quality control functions are processed as defined by the Work Instructions.
Proactively engage in Daily work driving Continuous Improvements, and work in a Team environment performing to expectation and established standards. - Follow established escalation process.
REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:

- Ability to use RF equipment.
- Experience in inventory control and replenishment is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime.
TRADE SKILLS:
- Knowledge of computer functions such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets
- General mathematics skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a P.I.T. license to operate sit down hi lo, stand up hi lo, and order pickers.
- Ability to perform inventory transactions through use of a computer system.
- Able to communicate effectively with external & internal partners such as Transportation Carriers, Customer Service Reps, Sales Reps, and Operations Management.
- Experience using SAP highly preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years related experience and/or training
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must regularly lift and/or moved up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to walk, talk and hear
- The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid license to operate fork lifts of various types.
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:
- Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes
- Moderate noise level
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Wear all required PPE at all times, follow all safety standards and policies, and actively engage in the Company Safety Program
Total Compensation = Pay range + Benefits
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
