Senior Manager, Pricing

 

The Senior Manager, Pricing will own the development of Tennant’s global pricing framework and methodology. In this role you would be considered the enterprise subject matter expert and serve as a consultant to leaders across the globe. You’ll be accountable for driving profit expansion through strategic pricing actions, maturity assessments, and governance around the world. Use your analytical mindset to create data driven insights to formulate strategies, recommendations and best practices. Responsibilities

 

  • Development of Strategic Pricing playbook used to train product management and regional business unit operators.
  • Lead annual price adjustment process coordinating activities and coaching stakeholders around best practices.
  • Work with global business leaders to identify the most important strategic pricing questions and develop analytical approaches to provide insights and answers to those business questions.  Including:
    • Price elasticity
    • Price waterfalls to understand pocket prices
    • Quantitative insights to discounting behaviors, segmentation, and prioritized improvement opportunities
    • Competitive data capture, repository, and synthesis
  • Deploy: Own the annual pricing process focusing on deployment of the product pricing strategies to include training and coaching product management and key business partners globally. To include communications, training and change management plans.
  • Sustain: Create a process that can be sustained year over year while having a continuous improvement mindset to adapt as needed
  • KPI’s/Metrics – Responsible for leading and driving EBITDA margin expansion through strategic pricing actions

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree preferred 
  • Minimum 10 years of pricing experience in a B2B environment
  • Pricing experience with non-traditional business models (subscription vs. 1-time sale, financing, rental, etc.)
  • Expert in analytics tools, techniques, and data visualization
  • Strong overall business acumen, solid financial grounding and a clear understanding of how our business operates.  Excellent judgement and analytical ability to make recommendations/decisions and to resolve complex problems.
  • A track record of driving large-scale improvement projects in a cross-cultural setting
  • Development of annual business plans identifying key pricing strategies, tactical execution plans, and accountability to results
  • Manages complexity – Makes sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong organizational savvy –  ability to navigate in a complex organization and quickly earn the respect of senior management through expertise, candor, open minded learning orientation, and bias toward action
  • Ability to inspire people around you and create a culture that emphasizes ongoing learning and development
