Senior Compensation Analyst

Tennant Company is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic HR organization. This role plays an essential part in ensuring our compensation programs enable us to attract, retain, and reward top talent. As a key member of the Global Total Rewards team, this position focuses on job architecture, compensation planning, and equity administration, while serving as the primary Compensation point of contact for North America.
This role offers the opportunity to deepen compensation expertise through daily partnership with HR Business Partners, HRIS, and Benefits while contributing to global Total Rewards initiatives that have companywide impact.
Compensation Consulting & Partnership
- Advise and partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and managers on compensation decisions.
- Provide consultation for new hires, job changes, promotions, and ad hoc pay actions.
- Prepare and present clear, concise compensation recommendations.
Compensation Program Administration
- Administer compensation programs including base pay, long‑ and short‑term incentives, and recognition plans.
- Oversee stock plan administration including grants, vesting, exercises, and related process improvements.
Job Architecture
- Manage compensation survey participation and submissions.
- Provide analytics using PayScale and other compensation tools.
- Conduct research on competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
- Maintain and govern job architecture, including job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure management for the Americas; provide global support as needed.
Annual Compensation Cycles
- Contribute to annual merit, incentive, and salary planning using SAP SuccessFactors Compensation.
- Lead the annual compensation cycle in the forseeable future.
Process, Policy & Compliance
- Create and communicate compensation policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Support global compensation projects and compliance reporting obligations.
- Produce ad hoc queries and analyses using HR data systems.
- Monitor regulatory changes (FLSA, EEO, pay transparency) to maintain compliance.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or business‑related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of Compensation experience.
- Proven analytical, modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong HRIS experience, including data extraction and reporting.
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and understanding of downstream impacts of data errors.
- Expert‑level Excel proficiency (e.g., array formulas, Power Query).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with equity administration.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.

Communicates Effectively: Provides clear, concise, and meaningful compensation insights and presentations.
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,000 - 137,900
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
