The Area Service Manager – Direct is responsible for implementing a clear business strategy to develop and grow the Service labor and aftermarket parts business in their area. Developing a team of “A” players who provide outstanding service to our customers is a critical component of this role.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Industrial /Commercial/Orbio Sales team in their area on large projects involving growth opportunities for machine sales and service.
- Provides accurate forecasting that reflects the industry, business trends, and potential business in their area.
- Grows key accounts and ensures customer satisfaction through continuous customer interaction in the field. Recommends equipment, technology and facility requirements.
- Recommends and develops new service areas.
- Promotes a positive atmosphere that supports optimism and passion in the Service organization.
- Spends time in the field on a regular basis to build relationships with the Field Service Technicians and focusing on their growth and development. Partners with Area Service Trainers to address development needs for Field Service Technicians.
- Communicates, influences, builds commitment to and effectively manages changes that align employees behind the direction of the organization.
- Flexes resources to meet business demands and opportunities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years + of business experience with customer interface preferably in a sales or service role including a minimum of 3 years of experience leading others ideally in a remote employee environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong team including identifying, developing and retaining talent.
- Intermediate PC and PC application skills
- Valid driver’s license plus meet Tennant Company Fleet policy requirements

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $82,400 - 123,500.
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
