Press Brake Operator

Press brake operators are responsible for the safe set up and operation of CNC press brakes to achieve established quality and efficiency standards. Working within a team, you’ll create quality parts that go into Tennant products. If you are self-driven and enjoy using your problem-solving skills then this is the role for you.



  • Operate Cincinnati and Bystronic CNC press brakes safely and efficiently
  • Utilize equipment and measurement tools to ensure part accuracy within print tolerances and minimize quality notifications and scrap
  • Make adjustments to angles, dimensions, etc. when needed
  • Participate in the team’s drive for continuous improvement by submitting ideas
  • Work effectively with the team and leadership to help meet the production needs of the company
  • Adept at performing 2 or more processes proficiently within the department 
  • Assist other operators in understanding quality expectations 



  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 1 or more years of related press brake experience (Cincinnati or Bystronic control experience preferred)
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Ability to use digital caliper and other measurement devices
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship 



  • Requires standing 90% of shift 
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting with arms extended 
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs. Average part weighs 5 - 15 lbs. 
  • Requires good manual dexterity 



  • Hearing and vision protection required in all areas 
  • Safety shoes required in all areas 
  • Exposure to oil, grease, dust, metal particles, sparks, sharp-edged materials 



  • Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.)
