NPD Sourcing Project Manager
As an NPD Sourcing Project Manager, you will work closely with your teammates in Global Strategic Sourcing and the NPD program teams to ensure completion of the GSS phase gate deliverables of your assigned programs. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing strategic sourcing actions for your assigned programs to ensure the program is able to meet its timing and budgetary goals and to keep key stakeholders aware and aligned on progress. You will also lead and enhance continuous improvement efforts that support your and the GSS team’s key business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Create and lead NPD sourcing strategy and related activities for programs as assigned.
- Support Global Category strategies by adhering and providing input to the Global Approved Supplier List.
- Lead self and cross-functional team through supplier selection process including RFx ,Total Cost of Ownership, and other related activities for assigned NPD projects.
- Partner with other functions – program management, engineering, supplier development, supplier quality, category management, and others - on Pre-NPD activities and lead supplier exploration efforts.
- Achieve all GSS phase-gate deliverables and successfully execute programs by leading:

- Minor, Major, and Principal programs

- Leverage proven negotiation skills to achieve favorable results for the organization.
- Proficiency in drafting, negotiating, and delivering moderately complex agreements such as joint development agreements or modified NDAs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key organizational stakeholders across multiple global regions and influence cross-functional teams to align sourcing with long-term product and business strategy.
- Effectively communicate across and upward in the organization for reporting on key performance indicators and for escalation purposes.
- Anticipate and mitigate risk, specifically global supply-related risks, IP related risks and brand reputation related risks, and exercise appropriate judgement when determining the need for internal escalation.
- Recommend, develop, and implement new processes and refine existing processes across our organization.
- Actively contribute to and align with projects in the global supply total cost savings funnel as required.
- Execute NPD programs with high schedule and budget fidelity.

Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or a similar role.
- 7 years of experience in a sourcing execution role may substitute for the Education & Experience requirement
- MS Office expertise required
Prefered Experience:
- MBA or Master’s degree
- PMP certification
- MS Project expertise
Skills:

- Demonstrated success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels
- Confidence in role as an individual contributor and ability to lead through others
