Tennant Company is currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst for our Minneapolis Manufacturing plant.  In this role you will manages and analyzes the entire supply chain or high risk, complex activities.  The role develops across supply chain business models to achieve major improvements within business process, demand planning, capacity mgmt. inventory mgmt or logistics costs.  This role makes decisions involving a high degree of complexity and works with the management team to develop supply chain disciplines and best practices including processes and procedures.  This role requires an exceptional level of strategic thinking, change initiation and long term corporate perspective and it works proactively on global supply chain projects.  You will lead projects or portions of projects that are cross-functional with groups outside of operations on business improvements.
 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Thorough understanding of all supply chain processes including material flow, information flow, purchasing, scheduling, production planning and cycle counting
  • Lead cross-functional projects or portions of projects with cross-functional impacts outside of operations
  • Lead global initiatives within the supply chain
  • Focus on developing and implementing strategic initatives
  • Propose, implement and support multi-site or high level business tools and process enhancements (continuous process improvement).
  • Expert on analyzing, and documenting processes using standards and methodologies.
  • Analyze entire supply chain including logistics costs, materials and sources
  • Recommend improvements based on supply chain analysis
  • Lead integration of new high level process changes
  • Manage large projects related to changes in the supply chain
  • Communicate project status to all levels of management
  • Develops and delivers business plans or models for operations management and other supply chain Leaders.
  • Requires ability to define high risk or high level problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and implement to achieve the desired results.
  • Identify, develop and complete strategic level work plans for entire supply chain or high risk projects.
  • Own, develop and implement business processes and related improvements
  • Facilitate large teams having explicit objectives and scope.
  • Manage entire supply chain cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to align project or process improvement goals with functional business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently across the entire supply chain and thrive in non-hierarchical organization.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Requires a 4 year degree in Engineering, Business, Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • ERP experience required.  SAP system experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience and execution of lean tools including pull systems, PDCA thinking, kanbans, value stream maps and PFEP.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
