As a Senior Electrical Designer within the Digital Systems Engineering team, you’ll lead the development and design of complex electrical machine subsystem documentation, including machine schematics, power distribution systems and wire harness design.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for the drafting and maintenance of the documentation for electrical system architecture on a variety of machine and technology development projects.  In addition, you’ll have opportunities to assist in the troubleshooting of complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems.   • Drafting of electrical machine schematics, wire harnesses, power cable assemblies and assorted electrical components
  • Routing and modeling of electrical systems in MCAD 3D space
  • Creating and maintaining ECAD libraries of electrical component and their respective MCAD part drawings
  • Aid in the design and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems on commercial and industrial cleaning equipment
  • Oversee new part release process and engineering change orders within the Digital Systems Engineering team
  • Assisting with purchasing and manufacturing questions and issues related to electrical components
  • Analyze field problems and recommend possible solutions


Education and Experience


  • Associate’s Degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of technical experience as a Designer
  • Mechanical design capture software such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks (especially Routing and Electrical add-ins), or equivalent MCAD system experience required
  • Experience with the use of electrical design capture solutions such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical ECAD system preferred
  • Experience with the design and troubleshooting of power electronics and electrical power systems preferred
  • Knowledgeable in the use of common electrical lab equipment and hand tools:  Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Electric vehicle system design and related regulatory requirements experience highly desirable
  • R&D and new product development experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
