Tennant has two Product Marketing Analyst openings supporting either our industrial or commercial product management teams. As a Product Analyst you’ll be responsible for measuring and monitoring product and service performance throughout the entire life cycle as well as presenting product related, market, and competitive intelligence. In this role you’ll conduct product life cycle analysis and provide recommendations for further growth or improvement. If you enjoy working with large data sets, digging in and using your analytical ability to identify trends and insights and using data to tell a story, then this is the role for you.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work cross functionally across product management, sales, finance, operations, global supply and others to achieve category financial goals, including monthly business review analysis and findings 
  • Assist product managers in pulling and analyzing historical sales reports to help identify opportunities for product margin improvement
  • Identify product simplification and rationalization efforts to help ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the product management team
  • Conduct competitive analysis, research market trends and identify gaps in portfolio
  • Work with market research team to conduct market / customer segmentation and quantify market opportunity
  • Perform analytics to support price increase and annual adjustment activities
  • Manage ad hoc requests on behalf of the team and identify when to escalate

 
Education and Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business and/or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of analyst, marketing or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated use of Microsoft Suite; Power BI, SAP Business Warehouse, CRM or other analytical platforms a plus
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals and/or stories
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with general supervision, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation
