PURPOSE/SCOPE: 

This role manages and oversees all activities and owns strategic direction of the newly formed Governance & Control Team. This role acts as a strategic business partner with leadership and collaborates with many internal team members within service, sales, finance and operations, focusing on strict process adherence, compliance with company policy and innovation across functions to help develop and deliver distinctive value. This role will determine team goals and ensure team goals are consistently met. This role will be an essential partner on key cross functional initiatives and projects.

 

GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES: 

  • Collaboratively creates, documents and implements work procedures and processes that support company and departmental objectives.
  • Owns governance processes for multiple workstreams and ensures processes are followed consistently.
  • Develops, plans, directs, manages and evaluates workflow.
  • Provides guidance to team that coordinates work activities with internal stakeholders to achieve the volume expected to meet operational requirements.
  • Owns strategic direction and frequent, effective communication to employees so that Governance and Control responsibilities are executed in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
  • Makes well rounded decisions that are best for the organization and escalates issues appropriately to  Sales management.
  • Performs constant monitoring of service level compliance and report on operational metrics.
  • Motivates, mentors and coaches team to help them achieve their highest performance level.
  • Responsible for performance appraisals, recognition, employee development and hiring.
  • Provides monthly/quarterly/annual reviews of team.
  • Maintains time and attendance compliance ensuring proper documentation is recorded. Responsible for communicating procedural changes and all team scheduling.
  • Reports and manages any disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
  • Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their duties.
  • Responsible for staff quality assurance, promoting order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in or leads impactful projects with cross-functional teams as requested

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in business to business, finance, and/or sales environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in current position for internal candidates.
  • Financial background/acumen preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
