Strategic Accounts- Customer Service Rep

PURPOSE/SCOPE:   

  • Provides support for Strategic Account customers by ensuring accurate order management and timely issue resolution. Collaborates with cross-functional teams across Tennant to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments. Maintains strong working relationships while managing assigned accounts. 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:     

  • Accurately process and manage orders and quotes for assigned Strategic Accounts, with a focus on equipment orders 

  • Provide customer support across multiple communication channels 

  • Coordinate customer master data, material control requests, and plant changes to support order entry 

  • Partner with sales, production, distribution centers, and logistics to meet delivery expectations 

  • Execute against unique customer requirements 

  • Process customer complaints and returns in a timely manner 

  • Develop and maintain “how-to-do-business” documentation 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned customer accounts 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of experience in a customer-facing role 

  • SAP experience preferred 

  • Demonstrated strong performance in current role 

 

REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:   

  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience by proactively identifying and responding to internal and external customer needs 

  • Apply strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment to make effective decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently across systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail 

  • Maintain productivity and composure under pressure, ensuring tasks are completed thoroughly and on time 

  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment 

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across teams, including sales and distribution partners, through strong communication and collaboration 

  • Work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative while effectively utilizing available resources and guidance 

  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and accountability, including consistent attendance and appropriate handling of confidential information 

 

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $42,600 - $64,100 

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
