Product Manager, Robotics Small Space

The Product Manager is an execution-focused role accountable for managing the robotics product offering within a specific market segment (Commercial, Industrial, or Small Space). This role translates the overall robotics product strategy into actionable product development and portfolio plans, ensuring the offering is mapped directly to customer value and enterprise objectives to grow Tennant Robotics’ revenues. The Product Manager is responsible for translating complex commercial and customer needs into product requirements to be developed by R&D. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Product Portfolio Growth: Accelerate product development, identifying the need for new products and supporting business case for investment. Make recommendations on the development priority and sequencing, price positioning and product cost targets to maximize revenue growth. 
  • Customer & Market Insight: Systematically uncover customer problems and segment dynamics to inform product decisions. Gather customer feedback and competitive intelligence, defining the priority of problems inside of a needs-based customer segmentation model.  
  • Requirements Translation & Execution: Collaborate closely with R&D/Product Development to translate customer and business requirements into product requirements. 
  • Product Launch Success: Define necessary content and ensure cross-functional execution for Product Launch Readiness to accelerate the ramp-rate of new product sales. 
  • Segment Specialization: Commercial Focus: Identify market opportunities for mid-sized scrubbers and support the development of innovative commercial models (e.g., RaaS) designed to reduce customer risk and complexity for robotics adoption.  
  • Industrial Focus: Develop a 5-year vision and roadmap including product types and requirements for warehouse, logistics and manufacturing environments 
  • Small Space Focus: Develop a 5-year vision and roadmap including product types and requirements for retail, education, hospitality, and healthcare verticals that is to be sold directly by TNC and through distribution partners. 

 

Education & KSAs 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related technical field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive product management experience, preferably supporting technically complex products or robotics/technology sectors.  
  • Financial & Commercial Acumen: Understand unit economics, pricing, and value levers to make sound, outcome-oriented business decisions.  
  • Customer Focus: Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions, using systematic insights to drive product decisions.  
  • Collaboration: Strong capability to build partnerships, communicate clearly/concisely, work collaboratively with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align execution against stated strategies. 

 

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,000 - $159,500

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
