Principal Business Analyst - HR

Position Summary

The Principal IT Business Analyst – HR is responsible for providing application services and support to the global Tennant organization in the SAP HR space. As a IT Team member, In this role you’ll primarily support business areas such as Human Resources, Training,  Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition. This role allows working with business users gathering requirements, defining solutions, testing, implementing and supporting them along the way.  You will also be participating in the organizational transformation journey with SuccessFactors Transformation to Cloud journey.



  • Responsible for gathering business requirements and documenting them into business requirement documents, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Responsible to create detailed specifications and process flows to provide direction to application developers
  • Responsible for developing functional, integration, regression, and test plans
  • Responsible for analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and business requests, and recommend solutions using system standards and best practices
  • Support, assist and train the users on new modified system configurations highlighting the impact on business processes
  • Work closely with Managers, Executives, Onsite team and Offshore team to ensure the release of high-quality solutions
  • Comply with regulatory and change control requirements and processes
  • Maintain IT Business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates
  • Demonstrate good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve system issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems




  • 10+ years of SAP ERP Business Systems Analysis experience with a focus on Core SAP HR
  • 5+ years of experience with SuccessFactors, Employee Central, Payroll modules
  • Strong cross-module functional knowledge between various modules of SuccessFactors, Employee Central, Payroll, Benefits & Interfaces
  • Experience with technical configuration of interface between SuccessFactors and SAP.
  • Firm grasp of SAP Personnel Administration / Organization Management / Payroll / Benefits / configuration
  • Exposure to external payroll tax systems like BSI, RSITE etc.,
  • Exposure to S4 HANA will be an advantage
  • Experience working with business end users, gathering requirements, and building detailed functional design specifications, testing & coordinating delivery of features and functionality
  • Provide in-depth SAP and SuccessFactors product knowledge to help support business and project objectives.
  • Configure the SuccessFactors modules according to new or changing business requirements.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Should contribute to team-building measures like Knowledge Management & Mentoring
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to be organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
