PURPOSE/SCOPE:
The Marketing & Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of commercial enablement programs that support business growth, product commercialization, and sales effectiveness. This role serves as a strategic partner to Product Management, Sales Leadership, and Marketing while remaining actively involved in the development and execution of key initiatives.
As a player-coach, the Manager leads complex cross-functional programs, drives organizational readiness for new product launches, develops enablement programs and tools, and may provide direct leadership to team members. The role requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Enablement & Commercialization Strategy
- Define and lead the overall marketing and sales enablement strategy supporting business growth objectives.
- Establish long-term roadmaps for commercial readiness, launch excellence, sales capability development, and content strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve go-to-market execution and commercial effectiveness.
- Ensure alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day execution across teams.
Product Launch Excellence
- Establish and continuously improve launch readiness frameworks, processes, and governance.
- Oversee multiple product launches and portfolio initiatives simultaneously.
- Provide strategic direction for launch planning, communications, training, metrics, and adoption programs.
- Partner with Product Management leaders to ensure successful commercialization of new products and solutions.
- Evaluate launch performance and implement best practices across future launches.
Sales Enablement Leadership
- Lead the development and evolution of sales enablement programs that improve commercial productivity and accelerate growth.
- Drive adoption and optimization of platforms, tools, playbooks, and training programs.
- Partner with sales leadership to define capability development priorities.
- Champion customer-centric selling methodologies and best practices.
Business Performance & Insights
- Establish KPIs for commercial readiness, enablement effectiveness, launch success, and sales productivity.
- Lead measurement and reporting programs to demonstrate business impact.
- Translate data into recommendations that influence leadership decisions.
- Present results, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Leadership & Organizational Influence
- Provide leadership for enablement initiatives and program teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Build strong partnerships across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and executive leadership.
- Lead change management efforts related to new products, processes, and commercial programs.
- Influence strategic decisions through data, insights, and market knowledge.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage budgets associated with enablement programs, launch initiatives, training, and content development.
- Prioritize investments and resources to maximize business impact.
- Evaluate external vendors, agencies, and technology partners as needed.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and direction for marketing and sales enablement initiatives across the organization.
- Serve as a coach, mentor, and subject matter expert for sales enablement and product launch best practices.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and manage team members when applicable.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and results.
- Support organizational change management related to new products, commercial programs, and go-to-market initiatives.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10-15+ years of experience in marketing, sales enablement, product marketing, commercial operations, or go-to-market functions.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional business initiatives.
- Demonstrated success developing commercialization and enablement strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Experience influencing executive leadership and driving organizational change.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience leading people or significant indirect leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- B2B marketing experience preferred.

- Strong cross-functional and influence leadership skills, able to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities while effectively working in a dynamic team environment.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build positive, two-way communication channel between the business unit and the sales field.

Total Compensation = Pay range + Benefits
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
