FSM FIELD OPERATIONS ANALYST (Service Application Expert)

The Field Service Operations Business Analyst is primarily responsible for successfully advancing the Field Service Mobility (FSM) platform and its operation with Tennant Company’s ERP platform (SAP). In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, other subject matter experts, and continuous improvement teams to advance our platform. Being agile, working with aggressive timelines, and working across cross-functional teams is a must.


As the primary field service support liaison between the business and IT, you will be involved with analyzing processes and workflows, effecting improvements to our technology platform to make our Service organization more effective, efficient, and scalable. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide system analysis across functions (Technicians, Dispatch, Technical Assistance, Customer Service, Field Service Support, Field Inventory Control, and others) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their related processes.
  • Provide support to solve FSM-related problems for functional areas support as well as work with our other operating regions (EMEA, APAC, LATAM) where their Service processes impact SAP functions such as Material Master, Customer Master, and Accounting.
  • Serve as North America’s Service’s representative on Tennant-wide SAP/FSM/Business Warehouse projects that interface with other functional areas and their respective systems.  
  • Design and prepare routine and ad-hoc SAP/FSM queries, downloads, analysis, and reports for the business.   
  • Ensure business requirements are represented in enhancements or issue resolutions specifications. Prepare and review test cases against acceptance criteria.
  • Actively participate in product backlog grooming reviews, prioritization of enhancements, and release planning sessions.
  • Manage expectations with project teams and senior leaders when challenges or competing priorities are present.
  • Identify impacted business areas to ensure they are included within project plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs.
  • Recognized as the subject matter expert of the business to the team. 
  • Provide general overview training to the Learning and Development team for project releases.

Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 5-7 years Operations/Cost Accounting experience in a global manufacturing company. Minimum one year of process improvement and project management preferred. Or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or FSM product (developed by IFS).
  • Experience managing several projects simultaneously
  • Experience in change management
  • Continuous Improvement / Lean Enterprise principles
