Benefits Analyst

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

 

  • Shared responsibility for coordinating all employee benefits education, conducting and preparing materials for benefit orientation.
  • Assist in the planning, development and redesigning of company benefits programs
  • Support the analysis, implementation and administration of plan designs.  Assist in managing annual projects such as Open Enrollment, year-end tasks, and own vendor interface file transitions and audits.
  • Interacts with IT during benefit program enhancements or updates. Performs unit testing to ensure proper program functionality.  Partners with IT for articulating benefit changes and testing of new programs.
  • Absence & Disability Management - Work with outsourced vendor to manage all absences, leaves and disabilities and ensure quality execution. 
  • Manage all absence data in Payroll/HRIS system.
  • Work with current vendor to perform daily administration of Tennant’s 401(k) plan, such as verifying demographic information, escalated issue resolution, annual matching true up, and monthly profit sharing contributions.  Work closely with Benefits Manager for any plan level decision making and/or legal or compliance related issues.
  • Maintain employee benefit records in payroll/HRIS system, process benefit changes, and prepare required reports.
  • Maintain process documentation relating to benefit programs.
  • Coordinate and process all benefits related vendor billing processes and ensures timely payments.
  • Administer/coordinate additional programs or miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance and demonstrate working knowledge of federal and state laws, such as ERISA, PPACA, ADA, ACA and FLMA.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three to five years of experience in benefit administration
  • Excel proficiency (Conditional Formula Writing, Pivot Tables, V-lookups)
  • HRIS implementation a plus 
  • SAP experience preferred
